Sign Up Friends And Family Into Your Business Even If You’ve Already Spammed The Heck Out Of Them

It’s not too late to mend those fences with family and friends if you’ve burnt them to the ground because you aggressively approached them about your business or down-right spammed them.  In this blog post I will share with you a couple of super simple things you can do today to help those you’ve put-off actually take an interest in your network marketing business.

Say You’re Sorry, Without A Pitch

The last thing you want to do is follow an apology with another pitch.  DO NOT say this: “Hey there.  I wanted to say that I am sorry for the way I approached you about my business, but it’s absolutely exploding and you really don’t want to miss out on this”.

The point of apologizing to anyone for anything is being genuine.  Saying sorry and immediately following that with yet another pitch is only going to look bad on you.  Do you think they are actually going to feel that you meant what you said?  No.  They’re going to see an ulterior motive to that apology.  It just won’t work. And you can forget ever having their support for anything you do in the future.

Instead, SAY THIS: “Hey there.  When I started my business I came at you extremely hard, and I want to apologize.  I was so new to this and had no idea what I was doing.  I hope you will accept my apology.  My relationship with you means more to me than any business”.

There’s no catch.  There’s no “I told you that I would be successful but you didn’t believe me!”  You never want to play the “I told you so” card, even if you HAVE had amazing success and they really DID miss out by not joining you.  You just don’t say that to them.  They are going to SEE your success all on their own…you don’t have to throw it in their face.

It’s not the network marketing industry that is at fault for the way people feel about it.  It’s the marketers who are chasing, bugging, begging, and spamming that give this industry a bad name.  Treat this profession the way it deserves to be treated by being postured, confident and with a “I don’t care who joins me or doesn’t join me” attitude, and people will automatically be attracted to that.

Find New People

9 Ways To Get Insane Facebook Engagement

Facebook is an absolutely amazing platform to build and grow your business.  What’s even better than that?  It’s absolutely free to use!  The problem I see all the time, however, is most people who are using it to build their home-based businesses are doing it ALL WRONG!  I used to be one of those people…until I learned how to do it the right way.  So don’t beat yourself up.  You don’t know what you don’t know.  My goal in this blog post is for you to do better once you know better.

The biggest mistake people make on FB is that they use FB as an advertising platform which is not what Facebook is intended for.  People go to Facebook to connect with their friends, share stories and to be entertained.  The last thing they are going to Facebook for is to be “sold to”.  If I had a dime for every spammy, in-your-face post I’ve seen just in the last week alone, I would be a very rich woman!

What this post is going to show you is that you can use Facebook to build your business without ticking off your family and friends, and without having to chase them around.  You just need to learn the right way to do it.  Let’s get started:

Post at the right time.

It’s about when engagement is the highest, not when most people are active.  What I have found is that posts made at 10 p.m. and later get the most engagement because typically fewer people are actually posting at that time of day, which means people are most likely to see YOUR post because it’s not buried in among tons of other posts.  I encourage you to test out a few different times of the day, however, to see what times seem to get the most responses/comments from your friend’s list.

Share valuable content with your friends.

It’s super important to post the kind of content that your friends actually want to see as opposed to the kind of content YOU WANT them to see.  Just because you’re in a Health and Wellness company, doesn’t mean your posts need only be focused on that industry.  Mix it up a bit, but don’t go completely out of the wheelhouse.  For example, if you own a sandwich company, you’re going to want to share healthy recipes and nutritional information, but you aren’t going to all of a sudden start posting about how to start a flower business….make sense??

What posts got you the best engagement.

Keep an eye on the type of posts that got maximum engagement and just continue doing more of those.  If it’s not broken, don’t fix it!

Photos are very important.

Using real life photos as opposed to those you grab off Google images are increasingly more effective because they are much more organic and personal to your viewers.  Want to get double bang for your buck?  Whenever you post in Instagram, configure it so that your post shows up on your Facebook profile as well automatically.  Saves you time and gets you even more exposure using a second forum for engagement.

Reply to people.

The longer you wait to respond to a comment someone makes on your post the less likely the conversation will continue.  People commented on your post because they resonated with something you’ve published.  Don’t just leave them hanging!  If they feel like they’ve been heard and appreciated, they are more likely to comment on posts you make in the future.  Have a conversation….that’s what Facebook looks for and monitoring.  Are people have actual conversations with each other?  After all, it’s called Social Media for a reason!  So, BE SOCIAL!!

Ask for the engagement.

As much as possible, you need to have a CTA (call to action) at the end of your Live broadcasts and text posts.  Why at the end?  If people are interested enough to read the post to the end or stay on the live video until the end, you have obviously provided amazing value and they are likely going to share it with others.  Calls to action can be an invitation to request more information on what you had just shared with them.  It’s very simple but it’s also very easy to forget.  Once you get in the habit of having some sort of CTA, your engagement with your audience will start to increase.

Use Facebook video.

Facebook actually favors video as opposed to text posts.  Direct video uploaded into Facebook is great, but Live video is the bomb! Research has shown that live video generates 7 times more comments, 3 x more shares and 2 x more reach than a text post.  Get involved in a 30 day Facebook live challenge either as part of a group, or just on your own.  I promise you by the end of the 30 days, you will have more and more people hopping on your lives and sharing the value you are giving them.  You just have to make up your mind to do it.  Your business will grow so fast you’ll wonder why you waited so long!

Shorter posts.

Short and sweet is the key.  Posts with 0-50 characters receive the most engagement.  Leave out the unnecessary information or details.  Treat posts like headlines, and not like you’re writing an essay (that’s what blogs like this are for!).  The headlines will pull people in and entice them to want to click on your blog or website link to read more.

Spam is canned meat, not a marketing strategy

Like I mentioned at the top of this post – people to go facebook for entertainment and fun.  They aren’t there to see how many shades of lipstick you offer!  They key is to peak their curiosity just enough that they WANT to reach out to you to see what it is you are offering, then you can send them your link if they decide they want to see more of what you have.  If you’ve been making posts that include your company name, products or have your business or customer link right there for people to click on, you will find that less people will be reaching out to you…they don’t need to.  They know exactly what you do and they have no reason to start a conversation with you – they will do their own research on Google and they may even purchase on Amazon instead of asking YOU about your products or service or opportunity.

Now, go out there and start providing actual value to your audience instead of just shooting out greasy canned ham yuck at them and you won’t believe how your business will explode!
